The sixth meeting of the project partners took place in february 2018 again at Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen.
The fifth meeting of the project partners took place in november 2017 at the University of Oldenburg.
At september 2017 the project AlarmRedux was introduced to the visitors of the 62nd annual conference of Medical Computer Science, Biometry and Epidemiology in Oldenburg. At a “show room” the department for Medical Computer Science of the University of Oldenburg presented projects of the supply chain from emergency rescue service over emergency room and intensive care unit to intensive care at home together with partners from medical support, industy and science. The particular situations could be reenacted and comprehended at patient simulators .
Host of the forth project meeting was Bitsea in Hennef. Bitsea applied with the project AlarmRedux at the 5th idea market “Best of Startups der Region” of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Ger. Industrie- und Handelskammer, IHK) of Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, the Synergie and the University of Bonn. The following video scored 5th place!
Regular meetings of the project partners contribute to a communication and actualisation of the steakholders’ level of knowledge, an exchange regarding project proceedings, decision making for further progress and dicussions of the resultant impacts on work packages.
To gain insight to the working environment of our project partner OFFIS, the third meeting of all project partners in january 2017 again took place in Oldenburg. At OFFIS the task group “Interactive Systems” designs new interaction forms of alarm distribution and signalisation in health care e.g. via multimodal devices which allow to address different levels of the user’s attention. As a project partner at AlarmRedux the task group designs and evaluates alternative procedures for alarm distribution and signalisation.
The second meeting of the AlarmRedux project partners took place in october 2016 at Philips in Böblingen. At a guided tour through the show room the participants got an overview at new processings and products for the health care environment.
At the end of april the task group “Methods for Alarm Reduction” met for inspection of the intensive care unit of the University Hospital of Anesthesia / Intensive Care / Emergency Medicine / Pain Treatment at Oldenburg Hospital. Here, existing problems of alarm management were identified and the experiences of nursing staff and doctors depicted.
At may 2016 the first project meeting took place at the Hospital for Anesthesia and Intensive Care of the Justus-Liebig-University in Gießen. Time shedules and mile stones were established and project structures as well as organisational issues were discussed. A guided tour through the intensive care station of the clinic followed afterwards to get an impression of the local situation. The present nurses explained the proceeding at (false) alarm notifications and reported the arising stress.
Therefore, the project partners received important information from the working environment which will be integrated in future progress.
In March 2016 the project kick-off took place in Oldenburg at the OFFIS Institute.
